How to make a taco truck
Sydney
has recently been going through a roving truck craze, but over in Melbourne they've been loving meals on wheels for some time now.
Taco Truck is one of the latest (and cutest) ideas we've seen in the industry recently.
The truck is the brainchild of Raph Rashid - an MC, hip hop artist, fashion entrepreneur, and father - and draws upon another culinary craze: Mexican food.
Happy with how his existing burger truck, Beatbox Kitchen, was going, Raph decided last year to
get a Taco Truck off the ground too.
The results, as seen in the videos below, are pretty fantastic. Raph enlisted the help of local artist Beci Orpin to
design and paint the truck.
Beci and some friends started the painting,
but ran out of time so a family friend Max from Heath Signs finished
what they didn't.
Raph has another fixed Beatbox Kitchen burger shack at the iconic Curtain House Rooftop Cinema in Melbourne's CBD.
He is also currently penning a follow-up to his book, Behind the Beat, which was published in 2005.
As for the roving trucks? Raph can be found driving around the streets of the inner North suburbs of Melbourne, visiting local parties or Summer festivals.
